Not a diet..

So I did a post a few months back about getting my motivation back. With going to the gym more often, it's only natural that I put more thought into what I eat. However, I can't be doing the "diet" thing. I want something with no end date and something that is realistic, enjoyable and that I can maintain. I still want to enjoy naughty food. I will still fall off the healthy wagon (not too much) but the important thing is getting back on the healthy wagon as often as possible.

One meal at a time! I look at it as every healthy meal is a bonus from what I would normally eat. It has been easier not putting pressure on myself and I am enjoying eating better and knowing that it's good for me.

It's nice to know if I want a little chocolate bar I can have it. And just knowing that has made them a little less attractive.

I've enjoyed waking up feeling fresh and full of energy after a healthy day before.

Are you on a diet? And do you ever stick to them?

  1. I have to admit the only diet I have ever stuck to is the 5:2 diet. Healthy eating and exercising more is the key to losing weight and also find out why you are over eating.

    1. I've heard quiet a bit about the 5:2 diet but don't know if I can restrict myself so much. hehe

  2. I've been on and off diets since the ago of about 15 so I'm sick of it now. I lost a lot (6 stone) through Weight Watchers but put a little back on after 2/3 years off plan. I want to lose the extra stone by exercising more and trying to make my evening meals a bit more lean. It's nice to live life and not worry about a diet sometimes xx

    1. I've heard great things about Weight Watchers. I tried it briefly a few years back and ended up gaining, I was eating a lot more than usual but not losing it. It is nice to not be so strict and just consciously be healthy with everyday decisions. I think the plans are great to loose weight quickly, but I want something I can sustain too.
